A pure anglo oriental inspired jar by this much under valued potter.
Ursula was born in 1908 and is still making in her 99th year. Last
year she had a rare exhbition at Contemporary Ceramics in London.
She is without doubt the elder statesman of contemporary ceramics
in the UK. This piece is impressed with double D for Darwin, Durham
Wharf, partly obscured by glaze.

Large Plate (Charger)
Stoneware
A truly wonderful charger by Ray Finch. These large plates are real
signature pieces by Ray. This example is typical of his style, glazed
a a rich Kaki type glaze with slip trailed pattern. Impressed WP
with dot, Ray Finch's personal mark. They don't come much better
than this example.

Porcelain
A small jar with a strong oriental feel. Porcelain with celadon glaze
and 3 tiny lugs. This is the first piece I have seen by Gary. Impressed
with personal mark to the inside of the foot-ring. I really think
this little jar is a gem!

A wonderful softly thrown and altered jug by Sandy Brown. Decorated
with pours, splashes and brush strokes in Sandy's exuberant style.
Signed SB in brushed script. Purchased from Sandy Brown's solo exhibition
at The Rufford Craft Centre, Nottinghamshire in 2001. "The
Exhilaration of Life"

marks to the base. Derek was one of the pioneers of crystal glaze

Peter produces some of the best ash-glazes produced by any British
potter. This pair of matching yunomi are glazed in a glaze made
from Japanese Knot Weed, wonderful nuka type glaze. Two of the best
yunomi I have had the pleasure of seeing.

Charger, WALL PIECE
Earthenware
A very large and impressive charger by Jean-Paul Landreau. Landreau
studied at Harrow under the enlightened leadership of Jerome Abbo.He
worked with the painter John Piper in 1994 advising Piper on the use
of suitable oxides and under glaze colours. The charger has a wire
hoop for hanging and is signed by the maker on the foot.
