In THE DISPLAY CASE you will find a wide selection of pieces by individual makers not usually represented elsewhere on our Web-Site. Each page will contain around 10 items which will consist of single pieces by individual potters/ceramic artists. Normally all the works are previously owned items. All items are perfect unless otherwise stated.

SEBASTIAN BLACKIE
Stacked Tea Bowls 2005
Stoneware, Wood-Fired
This construction, stacked tea bowls was exhibited in the exhibition Naked Clay which toured and accompanied the book of the same title by Jane Perryman. This piece by Sebastian Blackie was exhibited and purchased at Rufford Craft Centre Nottingham.
Sebastian Blackie is the author of Dear Mr Leach, Some Thoughts On Ceramics a well received book. He pots, teachers and travels extensively around the world giving lectures and demonstrations. In 2004 he had a solo exhibition at the Gallerie Besson, London.

SUTTON TAYLOR

Stoneware
This magnificent bowl is typical of Sutton Taylor's ceramic work. Taylor is one of the leading lustre glaze specalists. His work is often of monumental scale. This piece was made in his Yorkshire studio. Impressed ST to the outside of the foot-ring.

A wonderful creamware stem cup. Beautifully thrown, simple and understated form. Impressed with personal mark. Made 1999. Julian had a solo exhibition in 2007 at CPA Contemporary Ceramics, Marshall Street.
He went to West Surrey College of Art & Design, Farnham, Surrey 1985 - 1989 BA (Hons) 3 D Design (Ceramics)
