Michael Posner
Stoneware, oil spot glazes

Michael Posner has visited Japan on several occassions to study and learn more about the production of oil spot glazes. Oil spot glaze is one of the most difficult of the oriental claasic glaze types to produce. Along with the intense copper reds (sang de boef), oil spot and it's close relative Hare's Fur are classed by many as the Holy Grail of gkazes.
