was delighted to have been invited by Peter to open this major solo
exhibition of his work. I feel that Peter is a remarkable talent and
something of a National Treasure. This exhibition was one of the largest
ever presented by Peter, and as I said in my opening presentation
I thought that this exhibition will be seen by many as a seminal exhibition
by Peter, and that many of the pieces will be viewed as master works.
Peter's work I think will be judged kindly by future generations and
I think he will be as highly regarded as Hans Coper, Lucie Rie and
Bernard Leach are regarded by today's generation of ceramics collector's. |
