Light golden brown open sandy body glazed in a thick iron spotted grey glaze, indented double leaf pattern.

Kenneth Quick was the last local Cornish apprentice taken on straight from a local school, regarded by many to have been a potter of immense potential. He died in a tragic swimming accident while studying with Hamada in Japan

Clary Illian, Leach Pottery 1964-65
Teabowl made at the St. Ives pottery 1964/65 by American potter Clary Illian. Tenmoku glaze over celadon. Illian is from Iowa and is profiled in Whybrow's book The Leach Legacy.
