Chawan are all composite pieces (thrown and handbuilt using a thrown base and a wrapped slab of textured clay) with combinations of reduced copper reds, (sang de beouf) celadons and tenmoku.

We are delighted to announce that a piece by Eddie has been recently purchased to be exhibited in the permanent collection of the Ashmolean Museum, Oxford. The piece was selected by Timothy Wilson, Head of Western Art and will be displayed when the museum reopens after the major refurbishment that is currently in progress.
