Shigeyoshi Ichino (Japan)

Shigeyoshi Ichino was born 1942 in the village of Tachiku which is the centre of the Tanba Ware district of Japan. He is best know in the United Kindom through his connection with The Leach Pottery, St Ives. He worked at the Leach Pottery for one year 1969-1971. In 1973 after his return home to Japan he had his first solo exhibition in the Tanba, Kotokan Museum. Since 1973 he has had many solo exhibitions throughout Japan. We are delighted that Ichino san has agreed to exhibit a group of chawan in our exhibition.
