Bruce
Martin and his late wife Estelle Martin lived and worked on New Zealand's
North Island. Taking inspiration from the wares of Shigaraki, Japan
they produced some of the best anagama fired ware made anywhere outside
of Japan. Slab building was something that Bruce Martin made his own.
At their pottery they were able, through very long firings to build
up the most stunning fly-ash glaze effects.
