Lisa
Hammond has written of her own work,"I like simple forms that
are unfussy. Pots that look strong and are fundamentally functional,
but with energy. An-ongoing battle is to keep the forms fluid not
allowing them to become too tight. I aim to preserve in the finish
forms the sense of soft plasticity of the clay"
Lisa has recently returned from Japan where she spent three months
working with Rizu Takahashi at his pottery in the ancient pottery
making area of Mino. |
