David Frith has been potting for over 35 years. His work exudes quality and enthusiasm. In 2000 he attended a one month workshop in Mashiko, Japan which was followed by a major exhibition in Tokyo.

Cut-sided Bottle Vase.
A wonderful thrown and broadly cut sided bottle vase, glazed in a glorious dense black tenmoku glaze. Though thickly applied the tenmoku has still broken to rust along the thin edges. Impressed personal mark and pottery mark.

Press Moulded Bottle
This is one of the best slab assembled bottle's by David Frith I have seen. Quartered panels decorated in a quiet blue cobalt brush work with copper red dots. The bottle is very Japanese in inspiration and form. Impressed personal mark and pottery mark.

Ginger Jar
A lovely decorated ginger jar by David Frith. The jar is squared and has overfired decoration and wax resist patterns. The pieces is glazed in a rather attractive soft matt glaze. Signed DF.
