| Ewen
Henderson (1934-2000) studied first at Goldsmith's College, London
after completing his studies at Goldsmith's Henderson went on to study
ceramics under Hans Coper and Lucie Rie at the Camberwell School of
Art. He remained in London and built up an international reputation
as a potter and sculptor, exhibiting all over the world, many pieces
of his work are in private collections and major public collections
worldwide. The V&A London have a particularly fine group of vessels
and teabowls by him. |

Vessel Form:
A monumental vessel by Ewen Henderson, circa 1990.
Layered and laminated with mixed clays, some areas of volcanic
texture. This is a wonderful piece from a great and innovative potter.
