Chris Carter is one of the most highly regarded potters working in the UK. He specialises in volcanic type glazes. Much of his work is multi fired as he modifies and adds to the surface, always seeking a textural surface that has strong reference to the natural world. His inspiration comes from the land, and the effects that the weather, time and man leave on it.
